I was never the most expressive person in the world; to say the least. It was my way as a child, to observe the world around me and contemplate in my own space. I would sit down and think, to the point that I would overthink, then overthink about overthinking; constantly lost in thoughts. It was not until my teenage years that I put pen to paper to express these thoughts that had played over in my head. That was my first introduction to creative writing: poetry. It became a hobby of mine, it took me on a journey of self-discovery. Over a decade later, in 2019, I committed to being a full-time writer.
My name is Alex Murdock. I’m a Poet and Spoken Word Artist, Podcast (MadPo3t Podcast), and Storyteller. I’ve published three poetry books and three short stories independently.
Mr. Murdock's literary career commenced with independent publishing. His debut work, "Poetry Journal- Dream Imagine Express," was released on November 21, 2019. This collection served as an archive of his experiences during his formative years and marked the beginning of his journey as a professional writer.

In February 2022, Mr. Murdock expanded his artistic repertoire by venturing into live performances. This new medium allowed him to connect more intimately with his audience and further explore his talents as a performer.
Following his foray into live performance, Mr. Murdock launched the "Po3tryJournal Podcast." This platform serves not only as a venue for his own expression but also as a means to support and showcase other independent authors and creators.
Throughout his career, Mr. Murdock has demonstrated a commitment to personal growth and artistic development. His work reflects a journey of self-discovery and mastery of his craft, spanning various literary forms including poetry, short stories, and spoken word performance.
Mr. Murdock continues to contribute to the literary and performance arts communities, both through his own creative works and by providing opportunities for other emerging artists to share their voices.
